Wedding Weekend
Well I'm exhausted, but in a good way! It was a good weekend for a wedding.
Dan and I started our roadtrip with free hot chocolate form Maverick. Bomb.
We got to Idaho Falls in the afternoon and said hello to family and hung out for a bit. We had an awesome family dinner. Dan went out with his friend for the night and I hung out with the family. Ryan came by later that night and we finished some last minute decorations for the reception.
The next morning it was quite brisk but it was so awesome to see everyone at the temple. The sealing was beautiful. I love going to sealings because it reminds me of the promises I made to Dan and also to God when we were sealed for time and all eternity. And just like that, they were married!
We celebrated and took lots of pictures then the Bullock side jetted so we could get all the food out and ready for the luncheon. Like usual, my mom and Aunt Kris did and amazing job and we had so many helping hands in our family. People trickled in and out and I decided it was nap time after that! We relaxed until we had the key for the church then headed over there to deck the halls haha. It was fun to set things up and getting everything ready. Dan and I took a small detour to drop by Ryan & Kate's hotel to stock their room with plenty of delicious food and comfy essentials. Then we went home to change and it was pictures and reception time!
The reception went well. Got to talk to friends and family and see everyone that is supporting Kate and Ryan. They cut the cake and had some fun dancing. Then they tossed the bouquet and headed out. The bridal party decorated their car with streamers and window paint. But the best part is that they put those family stickers that you see ont he back of everyone's car, on Ryan's. So there's a stick figure Ryan and Kate then like 20 kids across the bottom of their car with cats and dogs and fish. It was hilarious. After they were gone it was immediate clean up. This weekend really reminded me, once again, how awesome my family and extended family are. They went above and beyond when they were even asked. They went and picked up things, bought things and did what ever was needed. They did everything they possibly could to help even when it wasn't their responsibility. They see a need and automatically jump in and help.
After all that clean up I was exhausted and definitely fell asleep asap. Sunday morning we slept in, had a delicious breakfast and were on our way home!
Well that's is for the wonderful wedding weekend! The next post will be about weird stories from work and about the Thanksgiving Festivities!
