Wedding Weekend

Image
Well I'm exhausted, but in a good way! It was a good weekend for a wedding. Dan and I started our roadtrip with free hot chocolate form Maverick. Bomb. We got to Idaho Falls in the afternoon and said hello to family and hung out for a bit. We had an awesome family dinner. Dan went out with his friend for the night and I hung out with the family. Ryan came by later that night and we finished some last minute decorations for the reception. The next morning it was quite brisk but it was so awesome to see everyone at the temple. The sealing was beautiful. I love going to sealings because it reminds me of the promises I made to Dan and also to God when we were sealed for time and all eternity. And just like that, they were married! We celebrated and took lots of pictures then the Bullock side jetted so we could get all the food out and ready for the luncheon. Like usual, my mom and Aunt Kris did and amazing job and we had so many

Living in the Dark

We started this week off with an awesome Sunday. We had some awesome talks about parenting and celestial marriage give by some of the bishop's friends. Lately I really enjoy hearing other people's simple advice about marriage and life. My favorite quote from Sunday was about finances and money, "Having money is not inherently bad. Money is a magnifier. If you are good, money will give you capability to do more good. If you aren't good, money can drag you down to evils." We invited a couple from our ward over for games that night and had a great time playing ticket to ride and eat oreos. We had a wonderful evening chatting and playing games. Monday was Veteran's Day which is a wonderful day to remember all those who have risk their lives so we can have the freedoms that we have today. We're the land of the free because of the brave. Thank you to all those who have and are currently serving. It was a paid holiday for me because banks and CU'

Moments from this Week

Weird moments at work: - When people ask me what nationality my name is. This doesn't sounds like a weird question but the awkwardness is pretty palpable when I answer, "...American..? I guess?" I think I should say a different nationality every time I'm asked that question. - The first line out of a member's mouth is, "Give me all your money!" Probably not the best  thing to say to a new teller. Freaks me out every time. - Laughing at me when I give them the new $100 bill. About 40% of people think it's fake or I'm joking. I promise, you are not getting punk'd at the bank :) Here's the kicker: I was getting the mail and I see a bunch of people, my age and some younger, get into a truck. I thought nothing of it because that's a normal activity, right? As I was walking back into work they drove being me started yelling and meowing at me and trying to squirt me with water guns. Is this what normal people do around lunch becaus

Halloween

I honestly have never been a huge fan of Halloween. When I was younger it was pretty cool because you get candy but dressing up, especially the face make up was always a pain. Although I did have some awesome costumes I this this Halloween was probably the best one I've experienced yet. Halloween as an adult is weird because some people go all out and some don't and then they judge each other for it. Anyways Dan and I started out our Halloween festivities by carving pumpkins! These pumpkins are from my parents garden! Cool huh! About half way through Dan and I looked at each other and couldn't figure out why we ever liked carving pumpkins. We both suck at it and here are pictures to prove it. Who's idea was this? I don't know. Please don't ask. We have been planning our Halloween at ICCU for months now and it all paid off! Everything was insanely good. We stayed the night before to set up and everything turned out great. Take a look for yoursel
