First Days of School!

Image
This is how I felt on the inside though. Obviously I didn't think that would be a good idea when I got up at 5am for work. Dan the man needs his sleep :) But seriously, I was a nervous wreck [on the inside]. While at work this morning I realized I haven't been in classes ON the BYUI campus since a year ago . Like Spring 2012. Um, hello? Where did the time go? Here's the run down of my classes HS 360 - Community & Public Health Admin Doesn't seem too bad. Do the work, study hard and get skills for the real world. He seems like a great teacher, I've heard a lot of great things about him but I really liked how his class is outlined about first learning what jobs are in this field and how to write a Health Science cover letter & a skills resume and how to find and apply for jobs. I feel this will be a really great class that will give us vital skills of what to do after a bachelors. HS 310 - Environmental Health My first impression of my teache

Spring Break!

Image
Yay! It's spring break and we have a week off from school. We plan to fill our week with relaxing, cleaning and spending time together. This is a needed break for Dan before his last semester of classes starts up. I imagine we'll be pretty busy next semester so it's nice to be able to spend so much time together. Monday I came home from work and Dan had cleaned the whole house and finished the laundry. I wanted to cry. It's the best feeling coming home to a clean house. Then I saw he had written this on the chalk board Hahah I love that man, he makes me laugh  (It was tax day) Our neighbors upstairs were moving out so Dan and a bunch of other guys were helping them load up their U-haul and they gave us the rest of their food ! It wasn't a bunch because obviously they were trying to finish most things but I'm super excited about some of the things they gave us! Like bacon (kind of a treat for us because I feel like it's always too expensive),

Lots of Exciting Things!

Even though I went grocery shopping last week, I finally  got around to prepping everything so we can actually eat it! Yay go us! We got apples, oranges (LOTS of oranges), celery, strawberries, carrots, lettuce and boiled eggs. I love washing and chopping everything because it makes an easy grab out of the fridge. We really don't have anything really unhealthy in our house but still, it makes it easier to eat good things when they're all there ready for ya! If I was really on top of my game I'd make some bread too but I decided we have enough in the freezer so I passed. Tuesday is the day and I am feeling almost normal . I'm not constantly paranoid about how my stomach is feeling and I finally am hungry for FOOD! Thank goodness I have my appetite back. The last few days I've been chronically thirsty (I'm so dehydrated) but finally I have a want for solid foods again. Although I feel like eating EVERYTHING to make up for the four ish days I haven't

The Big Decision

Well... you've all been waiting for it and from previous posts you've read it sounds like we've been debating between University of Utah   & Texas A&M and then I told you we said no thank you to Utah ....why? because a wrench has been thrown into the mix and because of the wrench we have made our decision For Grad School we will be attending... Boise State University Shocking the world yes? I know, believe me I know. I'll explain When Dan got accepted to Boise State it was originally planned as a back up like I had said before. But a couple weeks ago Dan got an email saying that he had been accepted to a  Graduate Assistantship  What is that you ask? Well, it's  AWESOME , that's what it is. Dan's tuition to get his Masters will be waived AND he will have a job

I bet your weekend was better than mine

THIS WEEKEND. oh.my.heck I had high hopes of it being a wonderful delightful weekend with my family but Friday was the day from the devil ! Remember how I got food poisoning from Costa Vida last month? Well this was worse (didn't think it was possible) like FOUR times worse My Friday started out normal . I got up and had cereal for breakfast and went to work. At work I started to feel funny. My back/stomach started turning. I was exhausted and was super hot. I couldn't stand for more than three minutes. I knew something wasn't right but I was sooo determined to just make it through work. I started work at 6am and I only made it until about 9. I was impressed I made it that long. After vomiting at work (I made it to the bathroom) I had Dan come pick me up. I got home and Pandora's box opened. Probably because I felt more comfortable at home than at work. There went my breakfast. I was thinking the milk was bad and now that it was all out I'd feel bet

Peace Out Rexburg! ...for the weekend...

First of all A car almost exploded at work. No really, I'm serious. I'm not really sure what happened but it pretty much looked like the engine self combusted in the car. The hood was burnt off, everything was black, lots of debris on the ground and it got towed away. Quite the excitement for a normal day. As I walked home I snapped this creeper picture for you all. I did it really quick because I felt awkward. Isn't that terrible! Seriously what a horrible thing to have happen when you're out of town. I went grocery shopping . Grocery shopping makes me happy, especially when I stay in or even UNDER the budget. It makes me pretty happy. Funny note - Dan and I were talking and he mentioned that he wanted me to buy more fruit you see, I hadn't been buying a lot of fruit because he wasn't eating it and he wasn't eating it because I wasn't buying a lot haha. Sometimes I forget that I'm married to a grown man who can down a lot more food than
