Things on my Mind
I have a love/hate relationship with grocery shopping. I went on Monday and I did all my meal planning and my list making, I was prepared. I love getting food to be able to make yummy, healthy and delicious meals, but I don't like spending money on it! With an exception of a few items, everything here is more expensive-including food. I wish I could grow all my food in my back yard.
On a foody note let me share with you some of the recipes I've tried lately. I'm one of those people who actually makes the food they post on pinterest! Most have turned out pretty darn good.

Changing subjects. Because I have some time on my hands being here in Bakersfield this week I decided to really study my patriarchal blessing again. I've done this before but every time I always enjoy it just as much.
1. I read it. I straight read it to refresh my memory and to take it all in.
2. I wrote down descriptions of me. When my blessing said 'you are...' I wrote them down as 'I statements' saying 'I am...' it was very.. empowering. It was awesome.
3. Then I wrote down IF-THEN statements. I noticed I had a good number of conditional blessings stated so I wrote them down, also changing them to I.
4. After that I wrote down promises and blessings. Mine had a lot of sentences starting with 'I promise' or ' I bless you' So I wrote all those down.
5. Lastly I wrote down warnings and counsels.
It's been a really good activity to do and I really enjoyed it. I suggest if your blessing may have dust on it to blow it off and read it. You don't have to follow what I did, make categories specific to you! OR use this guide!
Dan has been studying a lot this week because he's preparing to take the GMAT. I'm so proud of him. We have no idea what the future holds for us but I've learned not to worry, just try to plan, work hard and have faith.
Biggest stress right now? Well finding housing is #2 because there are always people selling their contract last minute but we're hoping to get what we want to be smart money wise. #1 is finding a job in Rexburg. I could serious loose sleep over this if I let it. It's only October and we will be back there in January but I'm trying to plan ahead and make lists of places I can apply. Dan has either 2 or 3 full semesters left and I only have two religion classes I'd take online. Dan will probably be welcomed back to work at Ferrell's but I really really will need to find a job. With only two online classes I have a completely open schedule to hopefully work a lot. While Dan is finishing his stressful semesters of school this is my time that I'm choosing to want to work my butt off in order help us out. Especially when we're trying to save so I can go to dental assisting school in the spring, I gotta work for what I want.
Anyways job searching is hard and thinking about it stresses me out. (I feel like it's even harder in Rexburg though yes? no?) You hear so many no's and you don't get any phone calls back, it can be discouraging. I'm going to need a lot of encouragement, positive thinking and faith. And cookies. Cookies always help.
