I killed my phone...
Whoops!
Well you see my phone's dead. It's been acting up for a long time now, I've always had problems with it not functioning right. I was trying to take a picture of the awesome cherry pie I made Dan (he loves cherry pie plus it was our two months of being married) and it broke.
So we went to the Verizon store the next day and he plugs it in and magically it's all good now. What the heck phone! Haha I'm just glad it was that easy (well kinda, we got lost trying to find the store and it ended up taking so long that we were starving so we just got food) We had Jersey Mike's Subs and it was awesome. The second I walked in it smelled like Port of Subs (where I used to work and my favvv sandwich place). Then I noticed they have a slicer, they slice their own meat and cheese, they have almost the same toppings, they have the 'originals' (lettuce, tomato, onion, oil, vinegar, oregano), they had the same line bins and wash rags and they even had the same knives! It was awesome- A little taste of home. But they didn't have the same bread- Port of Subs is waaaayyyy better when it comes to bread. Am I biased? ;)
I started reading The Success Principles but Jack Canfield and holy cow! I've only read like 24 pages and I'm in love with it. Dan has read it a lot of times so he recommended it to me and it is good. If you need a wake up call, some motivation or maybe just some more self confidence- read it. I don't know why this book wasn't on my book list but so far it is wonderful and I've had so many eye openers just in the first two chapters. To those skeptics out there- I know who you are!- This isn't a 'get rich quick help-book'. This is a stop complaining, take responsibility and work hard to achieve what ever you deem success is. It's awesome.
Dan and I are still watching White Collar together and I really like it. It's kind of a CSI mixed with Psych. There's humor and action but the thing I love about it most is that there isn't DRAMA. As in relationship, something always goes bad, people over react etc. It's nice that in this show there is a happily married couple and for once the plot isn't about them. I don't know, it's nice to have a show and to be invested in the characters but overall it's almost... uplifting. You're not miserably sad and depressed afterwards. It's refreshing.
On wednesday I received a package from my wonderful Mama which included her famous yummy sugar cookies. Mmmmm so good I was so excited! Sorry I didn't take a picture :(
Saturday was a lovely catch up day and I thoroughly enjoyed it! We spent the morning cleaning, laundry, homework, studying, meal planning and ironing- it was relaxing. We even made apple cinnamon waffles with whipped cream for breakfast- DELISH. Then that evening we went to our ward's Halloween party. It was a corn bread and chili potluck so I brought corn bread. I didn't want my cornbread to be super dry like I've usually had it so I took a risk and just started adding things to it haha luckily it turned out and the whole pan was GONE. I'll take that as a compliment to me :)
The Halloween party was really fun though. I'm always nervous going to events like these because it just shows me how many people I don't know but in the end we met way more people and it was awesome to see all the little ones in their adorable costumes! When I have kids they are going to be dressed up so darling!
Dan was sustained in church today for his calling so I'll tell you guys- He's an Assistant Ward Clerk. His task is to specifically help with scheduling tithing settlements. I couldn't have thought of a more perfect calling for him and I know he'll do great!

My phone went into Bootloader mode. I had to google it too.
TERRIBLE picture but you get the point.
