More Hockey!

My favorite thing about blogging is that I do it for fun and I'm not tied to any schedule. I only have to blog when I feel like it! ...which explains why this post is covering two weeks... :)

What have we been up to?
+ We had a game/ ice cream/ late dinner night with some friends. I was lucky I didn't have a black eye the next day. When we play games IT'S ON and intense. It was my own fault though.

+ We had some other friends over for dinner and to watch the basketball game that was on. Then we left the husbands and went to the General Women's Conference which had some awesome messages!

+ We used our giftcard that we won from the keg race at the Steelheads game to eat at 10 Barrel
It was seriously so good! I had the pork street tacos and they were fantastic!

+ I was brought chocolate at work... like three times. It was heaven

+ We went to the Steelheads Game that was sponsored by ICCU. Free tickets, free food and EVERY ONE was there! It was a super fun time!

After the game we went to The Fork and I got the SAME THING I got last time because it was so dang good and once again, it did not disappoint! YUM!

+ We made Skillet Tamale Pie for dinner and it was bomb. A comparable recipe is found here, just make sure you add adobo sauce to it because I think it really makes the dish.

+ We had our monthly staff meeting with the CEO of ICCU, Kent Oram so that was awesome! We got to ask him any question we wanted. He's a great CEO and I love working for ICCU!

+ I'm still running! Dan was so awesome and treated me to a pair of running tights and oh my... I'm in love. Plus we got them for a slammin' deal (if that surprises you then you don't know us). If you run you NEED to invest in a quality pair of running tights (pants, shorts or capris). I got an awesome blended fabric so that it fits like spandex but it doesn't irritate my skin like spandex can. It has some cotton cling to it so it stays in place and doesn't bunch or sag. I seriously can't even feel them when I run. Mine are for all climates so they keep me warm in cold temperatures and vice versa (I've tried both and it works). Seriously they're magic. When we bought them I immediately had to try them on again when we got home (every girl does this right?) and I seriously did not take them off. I was running around the apartment because I was so excited and they were so comfy. Seriously, I was being a dork. Bottom line, these rock.

It's my finals week this week and I'm so excited the semester is almost over! I still love my job. Dan is still working and going to school. We're doing great! We had a wonderful weekend watching and learning from General Conference. We are alive, we are well and we are happy :)

Day 8: What are 3 passions you have?

1. Dancing. Growing up I did gymnastics and that evolved in to dance for me and I loved it. One of my fondest memories from high school is dance team and competing with that team. I loved it and still do!

2. Music. I've always been around or involved in music. Growing up I played piano and sang in choir through high school. I love finding new music and have it touch me or inspire me in different ways. There are certain ways that music can touch you that anything else can't compare to.

3. Helping people. The thing that inspires me to help others the most is being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I love what I believe and I love being a disciple of Jesus Christ. I have so much peace and joy in life because of the knowledge I have about God and his plan for me.
