General

As I've said in the past, Carson is generally a very happy and easy going baby! This month though he's been especially clingy to mom. Then what do you know, two teeth cut through and it all makes sense. We had some rough days with a toddler who wants my attention and a baby who won't let me put him down but we powered through. I had to give Carson a lot of frozen teethers, breastmilk posicles, watermelon or cucumber to chew on. You could tell he was very uncomfortable and even had to use tylenol quite a bit to take the edge off at night. He's been soooo drooly but once they cut through he's been much more like his normal self.

We went to Bear Lake and he did well on the plane, nursing where ever we were and sleeping in a few new places. We stayed with some friends that has a baby 6 days older than Carson so it was fun to see them together.

Sleep
He's still taking 3 naps during the day and sometimes it's 2 and a cat-nap depending on wake times. Lately he's been sleeping in and doesn't have a set wake up time. It seems to be around 6:40 or 8:30 and kind of unpredictable. His naps are usually and hour or more but sometimes he'll drop back to 40 minutes. Bedtime is usually 7:30pm like Brooks but I'd rather go by wake times to make sure he has enough awake time before bed so sometimes it's a bit later. Sometimes he'll sleep through the night, sometimes he'll get up once.

Breastfeeding
We are finally on a good rhythm for breastfeeding. It wasn't 'bad' before persay but it was frustrating because Carson would be so impatient for the milk let down that he would get all wound up that he wouldn't eat. I had to switch the binky in constantly to calm him and get him to keep sucking. Now he realizes how it works and is more patient and eats well. I've tried to stretch him to 4 hours between feedings but he seems happy with every 3 or 3.5 hours so I guess we'll keep it at that. Plus with some solids added in now, I'm sure he'll be nice and full!
