General
This kid is giving me a run for my money! He crawls so fast and is interested in things he's never cared about before: chords, fireplace, outlets and every piece of dirt or bug on the ground. Right now I can always hear when he's going to get into something he's not supposed to. He does this excited hard breathing as he's crawling as fast as he can, it's hilarious!

As most of you know we went to Boise for a week and it was such a good vacation. I was also very happy to see Brooks warm up to my parents right away! Brooks did so good traveling! Then Dan's parents came into town and same thing, he warmed up to them quickly and enjoyed their visit.

Breastfeeding & Solids
For a week or so Brooks was not nursing regularly and I often couldn't get him to nurse. It was frustrating and uncomfortable for me and exhausting to keep offering over and over. This overflowed into the first couple days of our Boise trip. Then what does Dan find? A tooth cutting through! I was relieved and it all made sense now. After it cut through he started nursing regularly again and then some. Must be growing! He had his two bottom teeth and I was expecting his top teeth to come in next. Nope! it's another bottom tooth. Fast forward a week and he's cutting another top tooth.

After his tooth cut this kid has been ravenous! He eats a ton!. I'll feed him breakfast, lunch, a snack and dinner plus nursing him 4-5 times a day.

Sleeping
I have to give Brooks some BIG kudos. When we went to Boise he slept in 3 different pack n plays in 3 different places and did awesome! Wasn't perfect, but he did great for the circumstances. He seemed to nap even better- we must have worn him out!

He still takes 2 naps and usually sleeps 11-12 hours at night. Maybe once every 2 weeks I'll go feed him in the early AM. He's a good baby!
