Don't Touch my Food (20 Week Update)

As you all know Baby Robison is a BOY!

I've gotten a lot of comments on these reveal pictures- Thank you, everyone has been so kind!! They were supposed to be outside but it was been wind central over here EVERY DAY. No bueno. I found this idea off of pinterest and loved it because it was cute, easy and I hadn't seen it before. I told Dan to pick his favorite shoes and I should have known he would pick his football cleats! I picked my favorite shoes (my wedding shoes) and borrowed some baby shoes from our neighbors. I bought two pink and two blue balloons and took photos of each. At this point I didn't know the gender but I planned to do the pictures in black and white except for the balloons, so the blue shoes didn't matter. Now we know, they go perfectly!

We couldn't be more excited!!! I think we both saw it a couple of seconds right before the technician told us. This was Dan in the sonogram room:

I was wearing a flowy skirt so I gathered it but the bump looks a little over accentuated now
How far along
20 weeks = HALFWAY!
Baby is as big as a:
Banana (how do these fruit comparisons work? I don't think he's actually shaped like a banana?)
Total weight gain:
6 lbs
It's so weird to see numbers on the scale I've never seen before! It freaks me out at first.
Maternity clothes:
I've had a couple of wonderful people donate some good maternity clothes to me but I haven't needed to use them yet. Everything still fits except my suit pants which the Bella Bad fixes wonderfully!
Sleep:
Good! Have to be more careful rolling over, My TMJ has been acting up so my jaw has been VERY sore. This doesn't affect actually sleeping, but waking up it's so so stiff.
Movement?
Now that I know what baby feels like, I definitely have felt him move a lot. I think I probably felt it around 18 weeks for the first time but it's such a new feeling it was hard for me to recognize. Most people say is feels like gas and it kind of does, but doesn't. It's hard to explain! I would call it a cramping feeling but no pain involved?
Best moment this week:
Finding out we're having a BABY BOY! We both guessed boy and Dan (like every father) is over the moon to have a son. We registered at Buy Buy Baby this week and I've never seen Dan so excited about clothing as he was registering for all these sports, Nike and Under Armour baby clothing! It was so fun for me to watch.
Weird pregnancy moment:
Dan and I went to a surprise birthday party for out neighbor at Main Event. They had bratwursts there and I was so excited to eat one. I've been wanting one for a couple weeks now and I was really hungry. Dan asked if he could have a bite of mine because he left the others for everyone else to have. I obliged but then turned around and got upset with him because he took what was in my mind a HUGE bite! He paused and asked, 'Wait... are you really mad?' Yeah... kinda..? I don't know. I was just really hungry and really looking forward to eating it! A couple seconds later (when the food started getting to my stomach) I was like oh wait... no I'm not mad. I was hangry. Oops!
Part 2 of this story is that night I had a dream that the same thing happened but he actually ate the WHOLE THING to which I went to kind of playfully, but more angrily slap him on the chest with the back of my hand. I did this so forcefully that I woke myself up to realize I was actually reaching across the bed to backhand him. I totally thought I hit him and that he woke up. He remembers nothing! Although I think he's more weary to get between me and food now hee hee.
Symptoms:
Still have some mild round ligament pain. Mild restless leg.
Food cravings:
Okay this isn't something I crave but I realized I consume it A LOT. Milk! I can go through a gallon a week if I don't pace myself. I'm not craving it but when I open the fridge and see it my brain is like, 'Oh, milk sounds delicious!' and I chug a whole glass. I've been told calcium is really important during this stage so maybe that's why? I've always loved milk, but now I really LOVE it.
Food aversions:
NONE. Best day ever. Someone give this girl a burger!
Gender:
BOY
What I'm looking forward to:
I get another ultrasound in 4 weeks just to check on some mild dilation of his ureters (doctor says it's common in boys and it usually subsides) but that means I get to see baby again! And I'm excited for when the movements are strong enough that Dan can actually feel the baby!

We had some Texas storms this week that left some really neat clouds!

Saturday afternoon Dan and I took a trip to Ikea to finally spend a giftcard we had been holding on to and bought new nightstands! The current ones we have were found on the curb in Rexburg labeled free. They're made from cheap plywood and are falling apart. It's about time for a change. After Ikea we went to Sports Authority because they're liquidating and found some sweet deals. Then we went and registered at Buy Buy Baby because hello, free gift bag! Plus we'd never been there. It's owned by Bed, Bath and Beyond so think of that store but for all things baby! It's pretty cool. And sometimes overwhelming. But mostly cool. We had ourselves a little dinner date and ate at Cane's Chicken which we LOVE and picked up a treat at DQ on the way home. Then I promptly fell asleep!

I've had some questions about the new purchases we've made so I'm going to list them out!

Tuft & Needle King Mattress - I. Love. This. Mattress. What made it even sweeter was the price! It came to my door, was easy to assemble and is the softest and most supportive mattress I've ever had. I lay on our old one and notice a HUGE difference.

Zinus King Bed Frame - I love this product because the mattress doesn't slip around like I thought it might. It was easy to put together and it's seriously noiseless. Didn't realize how noisy our old one was.

Mellanni Bed Sheets - Buying this was kind of a gamble for me because I wasn't able to feel and touch the sheets. I hate silky feeling, slippery and cold sheets BUT I wanted something I could easily turn over under without getting stuck to (first world problems right?) I finally understand the definition of silky soft because they're mostly soft, with some silky qualities. They're airy and light and keep my body the right temperature. We got light gray and I love them!

Lucid Mattress Protector - With this being our first nice mattress we've purchased (the one we had was given to us new by some awesome family friends) we wanted to protect it. Especially with a baby and who knows what opportunities will present itself to stain our mattress. I was surprised that this protector fells like a towel. I don't feel in through the sheets though. I mean we haven't needed it yet so I think it works!

Now the next thing I need to decide is a comforter! Help!
