20 Days of My Birthday

I am spoiled and I have the best mother and fiance ever. I'm not exaggerating. My mother gave me a gift everyday for 20 days before my 20th birthday and my fiance picked up, wrapped and delivered the gifts. They're so sneaky but it was so fun and I felt so special!

The first day started when Dan was in Denver for an internship expedition. While he was gone I wasn't able to talk to him very much because he was busy with interviews, dinners and marketing with companies. So when we called me randomly on that Thursday I was super excited to hear from him.

He was like "Hey I need to you run over to my apartment really quick!" I asked for what as I made my way over there and he said he needed some security code the company had given him to get into the building. I didn't realize how ridiculous this sounded until afterwards. As I looked in the drawer where he said it was I found a card with the tag DAY 1 with my mother's handwriting. That was the start of my 20-day birthday.

This morning of my birthday was started to open my door to this

and see signs like this EVERYWHERE

My wonderful roommates Annie, Megan and Kristin decorated the apartment for my birthday :) It definitely made my day and it made me feel so special and put a smile on my face in the morning. Dan took me to class and made me breakfast. Classes were uneventful but right afterwards Dan and I put our swimsuits on, made a lunch and drove out to Rigby lake. Compared to anything else in Rexburg, Rigby lake is great because there sand, grass, water and SUN! We layed out and relaxed, got in the freezing cold water, ate our picnic. It was so perfect!

It was PERFECT. Soaking up the sun, eating sammiches, watermelon, cookies and chips. Spending the day not doing schoolwork and just relaxing with my future husband in a swimming suit I feel super cute in. Awesome. Then we came back and scrubbed all the sunscreen off (we were so good and didn't get burned :) ) Dan gave me the gift he got me- a new Scentsy which I LOVE! We got ready to go out to Da Pineapple Grill with my friends. Da Pineapple Grill is a Hawaiian grill in Rexburg that also has amazing sushi! It's so delicious. My amazing roommates and my cousin Kelsey joined us for dinner and it was so great :)

Love these girls! And Dan :) Our stomachs were so happy :)

We came come a relaxed in the happy state of full stomachs. I skyped with my parents, I think Annie took a nap and then late we were hungry for cake.

note the new Scentsy in the background!

My roommates obnoxiously sang me happy birthday and complete with moose tracks ice cream, the cake was delicious! Thanks mom :) All of us were pretty tired and some had homework so we threw in How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days and I ended my birthday cuddled up to my favorite man. My birthday was amazing. I have wonderful parents, the best roommates and friends, and a fiance I can't wait to marry. Those around me made me feel so special on my birthday and so many people with things above and beyond that they didn't NEED to do. I feel so loved and so blessed. Thank you guys for making me feel so loved. It was a perfect day :)

Dan also 'gave' me another huggggeeee gift that I haven't mentioned because this post is long enough. I'll make a post soon about some potentially big news for our future, the blessings of tithing and how our 4th went today. Check back! Happy 4th Everyone :)
