It's hard to believe my baby is one! I feel like months 0-1 and 6-12 went FAST. 2-5 were slow and a little rough with sleep consolidation, helmet and general fussiness. He still feels like my baby but I realize he's closer to a toddler everyday. He is so sweet and good tempered. He loves making people laugh and is very observant. He can be social when he feels comfortable and is so sweet when he is.
He did a lot this last month with the biggest being a trip to Disney World. We drug him all over the parks and he did amazing! Granted I did a large amount of planning to make it as smooth as possible, however he rolled with the punches and made the trip so much fun! He slept everywhere, ate anything (but mostly chicken, fries and applesauce), played so hard then slept even harder.
My parents were in town for his birthday party and it was so fun to have them here. Brooks just loved them and noticed when they weren't there anymore.
I took him into the his pediatrician right before we went to Florida to see what what causing his runny nose. She confirmed my suspicion of allergies and thankfully his ears looked good. He had relief in Florida but poor dude is suffering with the ragweed here in Texas.

Nursing & Food
When he turned 11 months I decided to skip a nursing session and have only been nursing him twice a day, morning and night. I think I'll skip the morning session soon then in a couple weeks do the same with the night. He hasn't even noticed and it's been a smooth process. It was super nice not to nurse him during the day at Disney World because it was SO HOT.
His appetite ebbs and flows but recently he's been a bottomless pit. Of course he has his preferences and if it tastes weird he won't eat it but sometimes I feel like he's already eating everything in the house. I need to start now to prepare for his teenage years ha!
