Two Weeks in One

I kinda forgot to post last week so lucky you! You get to read two weeks combined! LAST WEEK This week was a short week and it went by so quickly! Sunday evening we had dinner and played games with the other Graduate assistants from BSU and their wives. One of them lives right in the heart of down town above some stores. It's a pretty sweet set up they got and an amazing view. They were all super nice and it was awesome to meet them. Monday was Columbus Day which means no work for me! How did I celebrate my paid holiday? By shopping. I realized after I got home I kind of went on a cardigan spree. I bought three. 1 for family pictures, 1 for Ryan's wedding and 1 just because I wanted to (I had a gift card for that one though). I have a cardigan problem. It's probably because I'm always cold at work and need something to keep me warm :) The rest of the week was spent working, schooling, homeworking and crafting (for me) at night. Dan and I may or may not have downloaded free dog whistle apps on our phones. It went something like this: A: That dog is driving me crazy! D: Don't they have something to make them be quiet? A: Yes! Dog whistles! You're brilliant. I'll google to see if Wal-Greens has them -Googled and found mixed review about the product- We were legit going to take a trip to Wal-Greens TONIGHT to get it. BUT as I was typing it in on Google I see dog whistle app- best idea ever! Dan and I both promptly down loaded a free one. Then I did some more researching and realized that dog whistles only make them go crazier... but I think it'll work when it's barking to train it that it's not okay. We are officially training our neighbor's dog from down stairs. Poor thing, I think it get left alone all day and just barks and goes crazy inside. I think the noise we hear is the dog going crazy in it's kennel or something. Anyways, let the dog training begin. Work is still...

This Week was Weird

A lot of strange or interesting things happened. First off we went grocery shopping Monday night. Sounds normal right? WRONG. After picking up some things at Costco we went to Wal-Mart to get some extra cheap things so we can stick to our awesome budget this month. We practically have everything we need except for the produce and have spent the time and effort to find the best deal, when we hear over the loud speaker, " THERE IS AN EMERGENCY SITUATION. EVERYONE NEEDS TO EXIT THE BUILDING. " At first I was like wait... really? But then they just kept saying it and everyone was leaving. I felt like I was leaving all my hard work when we left our cart full of food to wait outside in the parking lot. When we got outside two firetrucks were already there and they kept telling us to scoot back farther away. We found out there was a gas leak and I prayed no one decided to start smoking. I was kind of at a loss of what to do but Dan said we'd give it 15 minutes to see what hap...
